At Yancey County Health Department, it is our vision that we will have a healthy community where everyone has the opportunity to live a long, healthy life.

Our Mission is to protect and promote the health of the community by providing quality, accessible, and equitable health services.

Dedication to a Healthier Community.

The Yancey County Health Department was established in 2022 after separating from the Toe River Health District, becoming a standalone public health agency owned and supported by Yancey County Local Government. Located in Burnsville, North Carolina, we provide essential public health services, including environmental health, primary care services, immunizations, family support services, health education,and more.

 

We strive to create the healthiest Yancey County possible by delivering high-quality services and collaborating with community partners to make a lasting impact on public health.

We pride ourselves on hiring the most qualified professionals to best serve our community's needs. We believe in whole-person health and strive to provide exceptional care for our residents. Our team is dedicated to making Yancey County a healthier, happier community.
